This 10-week course covers the end-to-end process of aircraft design. You'll explore aerodynamics, stability, weight estimation, CAD modeling, and simulation.

You'll complete a final project where you design an aircraft for a specific mission profile, and simulate its performance.

  • Airfoil theory, drag, lift curves
  • Design constraints and configuration

🔹 Week 3: Weight Estimation

  • Empty weight, payload, fuel, MTOW
  • Empirical formulas and margin of safety

🔹 Week 4–6: CAD Modeling of Aircraft

  • Fuselage, wings, empennage, cockpit
  • Assembly and constraints in CATIA

🔹 Week 7: Introduction to Stability

  • Static stability in pitch, roll, yaw
